Christmas Carol Hot sex under the Christmas tree isn’t what Jackson Parker expected when he returned to his small hometown for the holidays, but it's a gift he’s not planning on returning any time soon…

Unwrapped edition by Ellen Fisher Romance eBooks

Unwrapped:

It's Christmas Eve and Nicholas Brant is miserable. Ever since his girlfriend walked out on him during the holidays several years ago, Nicholas has dreaded the whole Christmas season - Bah Humbug!

When her relationship with Nicholas ended, Syd Alexander was devastated. She decides that it's finally time to confront her "ex" and finagles a dinner invitation to Nick's sister's house on Christmas Eve. When Nick and Syd finally see each other again for the first time in three years there are definitely sparks, but will the fireworks fizzle come Christmas morning?

Hmm. This was cute, and I liked the author's writing style, but Sheesh these two are as dense as molasses! My least favorite source of conflict is the "Big Misunderstanding" and Nick and Sid are pretty much wallowing in it. Still, there is plenty of humor, the dialog was nicely done and the love scenes are smokin' hot. Overall I'd rate this a 3.5.

Christmas Carol:

Jackson Parker makes a reluctant trip home for the holidays to settle his late father's affairs. Most of his childhood memories are not particularly happy, and the last thing he wants to do is spend Christmas alone in the house he grew up in.

When Jackson meets his father's neighbor, Carol Bell, he's struck by two things: (1) Carol is very attractive and (2) for some reason she seems to think his father was a great guy.

This is a short story but there's quite a bit of depth to it. By alternating the point of view between Jackson and Carol the author gives us a chance to see how these two gradually come to realize that things aren't always black and white. Don't get me wrong, this is not a "heavy" story by any means, just a surprisingly thoughtful one. I liked the verbal sparring that ensues when Carol and Jackson first meet, and I thought that giving the totally gorgeous Jackson a few insecurities was a nice touch. I really enjoyed this one - 4 Stars.

These are two novella length Christmas-themed stories that make for some spicy holiday reading. There's occasional strong language and the love scenes are explicit. This is the first time I've tried this author's work and I'm looking forward to reading one of her full length romance novels.

Unwrapped edition by Ellen Fisher Romance eBooks Reviews

Unwrapped contains two sexy Christmas-themed stories that were spicy and lots of fun to read. My summer has been so busy that I've searched out short story and novellas to read...anything with a well-developed story but short enough to finish quickly due to my limited reading time. I was so happy to find this new offering by one of my go-to authors for fun, steamy reads. The stories did not disappoint!
A "double" in that the book contains two shorter novellas. Basically, hot and steamy romance with a Christmas theme. However, the author does tie in some more serious themes of death of a family member and the need to re-examine one's own life, unrequited love, and the importance of communication. There is the trademark Elly banter, and she deftly portrays romance, sex, and love.

I give only three stars for this book, more because I read one of Ellen Fisher's other books first than from any deficiency in the stories here. The author has grown and developed, and I read her "Love Remembered" before I read "Unwrapped". The former is longer, with more character development and more plot. But if you are looking for a good light read, with some serious erotic scenes, then you just dive right into "Unwrapped", honey!

Let's just say that the "unwrapped" title gives a good description of the contents - if you're not sure what I mean, look at the photo here on and imagine taking it further.
The first story is called "Unwrapped" Nicholas is at his sister's house it is Christmas eve and he is bringing presents for his niece and nephew. Nicholas does not like Christmas, three years ago on Christmas eve the woman he loved dumped him, so Christmas is not a good time for him. Mim Nick's sister has invited a work colleague over for dinner she is also alone at this time of year. Mim's friend turns out to be Sydney, his lost love of three years ago and she is as beautiful as ever.
The second story is called "Christmas Carol" Jackson is going back home it's just a few days before Christmas, his Father has died so he must go back for the funeral. Jackson never got along with his Father and had left home when he was eighteen and had never returned till now. Upon arrival he discovers a young woman in his Father's house her name is Carol, she claims that she was good friends with his Father. Carol cannot understand why Jackson did not get along with his Father she always found him a kind man. Jackson is attracted to Carol and she him, can this lead anywhere?
I am beginning to believe that this author is the queen of the short story, she manages to pack so much detail in, including well developed characters. Both stories are romantic and passionate. Well woth reading.
These were 2 nicely done Christmas-themed stories. Both are quick, easy reads and are great for when you have a few minutes to devote to reading but don't want to get drawn into a book and look up and its 4 hours later and you haven't started dinner yet. These stories are short so there is not a lot of time for character development or intricate plots, but you still get a good sense of the H and h in each story, and the writing is "polished," which you don't always find in the $.99 reads. And they're Christmas stories, which I just love to start reading this time of year. The stories left me happy, which is what I ask for in a Christmas book!
I bought this a long time ago and had forgotten it was a two story pack. It contains Unwrapped and Merry CHristmas.

While neither of these stories is smashing 5 star read alone, the two of them together would add to the 5 star review. They are hot, sex, and simply Christmas stories of loss and misunderstanding and love that blooms like magic during this most wonderful of seasons.

That alone makes it worth the read especially if you do so at Christmas Time. I think that most readers will enjoy the quirky, funny, and real life misunderstands and loss of these two stories.

Enjoy
